The shaft assembly includes the hard chrome shaft, piston, wear band, and valve stacks. As the piston moves through the shock body, hydraulic fluid is metered through the piston valving and the active bypass circuits, creating position-sensitive damping. The rebound shim stack is located on the top of the piston, with the compression shim stack located on the bottom.

The Bump Zone is located beyond the compression bypass tubes. In this zone, damping is controlled entirely by the main piston valving, producing a progressive increase in compression resistance near full bump travel.

• Reservoir end cap contains the Schrader valve used to charge the shock with nitrogen.

• Floating dividing piston separates the nitrogen charge from the shock oil.

• 5-weight hydraulic shock fluid provides damping, lubrication, and cooling.

Rebound bypass tubes are positioned upward, facing the top of the shock body. Each tube contains an externally adjustable needle valve that opens or restricts the bypass circuit, allowing independent tuning of rebound damping through the corresponding rebound zone.

• R1: Long Rebound Tube

• R2: Medium Rebound Tube

• R3: Short Rebound Tube

• RT: Short Rebound Trim Tube, placed at the top of the compression zone, used for adjustment in the bump zone

Compression bypass tubes are positioned downward, facing the bottom of the shock body. Each tube contains an externally adjustable needle valve that opens or restricts the bypass circuit, allowing independent tuning of compression damping through the corresponding compression zone.
