 Unlike a solid rubber bump stop, a hydraulic bump stop uses pressurized oil and internal valving to control shaft movement and dissipate energy through the final portion of suspension travel. This allows the bump stop to engage progressively rather than acting as a simple fixed stop.

 The large-diameter shaft is hard chromed and micro-polished for durability and extended seal life. A durable nylon strike pad provides a replaceable contact surface at the shaft end while helping reduce noise during operation.

 Proper tuning allows the bump stop to control large compression events without creating an unnecessarily harsh engagement, helping maintain vehicle stability and suspension control during repeated impacts.
